Create mini-dashboards for client deliverables

A mini-dashboard is a focused Story Dashboard built from one study. Instead of one large report with everything in it, you create smaller, purpose-built hubs: one for a keynote slide story, one for a client segment, one for a campaign, and so on.

This guide repackages steps from existing dashboard and Insights docs. It does not introduce new UI beyond what those guides already describe.

When to use mini-dashboards

Use mini-dashboards when you want to:

  • Reuse the same research across many talks, podcasts, or campaigns
  • Give each client or audience a tight story instead of the full dataset
  • Publish several links from one project, each with a different focus

Option A: Multiple pages in one dashboard

If one link is enough, use pages inside a single dashboard.

  1. Click Add page
  2. Enter a name (e.g. Overview, Deep dive, Appendix)
  3. Click a page tab to switch between pages
  4. Add charts, text, and callouts to each page

Drag page tabs to change their order.

See Pages for full steps.

Option B: Separate dashboards per deliverable

Create a new dashboard for each mini-deliverable.

From analysis or save flow:

  • Choose Add to Dashboard and select New dashboard (enter a name)

From My Collection:

  1. Click items to select them (the actions bar appears at the bottom)
  2. Click Add to Dashboard
  3. Choose New dashboard or pick an existing dashboard and page

You can also duplicate an existing dashboard from its card or from inside the editor (Actions → Duplicate Dashboard).

See Create a dashboard and Using My Collection.

Reuse charts across mini-dashboards

You do not need to rebuild every chart.

From My Collection:

  • Save charts to My Collection during analysis, then Add to Dashboard into different dashboards or pages

Copy items between dashboards:

  1. Hover an item and click the Copy icon
  2. Switch page or open the target dashboard
  3. Press ⌘/Ctrl+V to paste

See Copy and paste and Using My Collection.

Brand and publish each mini-dashboard

  • Add your logo from the header to brand your dashboard (see Create a dashboard)
  • When ready, Manage Publishing to publish, copy the link, and optionally set a password (see Publish a dashboard)

For sharing and unlimited viewers, see Share with clients.
