Share with clients
This guide brings together publish, password, and explorable steps so clients can open your Insight Hub. AddMaple calls the editor object a Story Dashboard or Dashboard; when published, it is what marketing and clients often call an Insight Hub.
Unlimited viewers
Team plans include private, password-protected dashboards with unlimited viewers (no per-viewer fees). You can also publish publicly without a password. Explorable dashboard packages also include unlimited viewers.
See How does AddMaple pricing work? for plan details.
Clients typically need the link (and password if you set one), not their own analyst seat.
Publish your Insight Hub
Publishing creates a public URL. All controls live in the Publishing and Sharing modal.
- Open your dashboard
- Click Actions → Manage Publishing
- Choose one of: Unpublished, Publish on AddMaple.com (public), Publish with password (private)
- Click Save Changes
See Publish a dashboard.
Share the link
After publishing, a Public Link field appears with a Copy button. Send that link to clients.
Password protection (optional)
To require a password:
- Click Actions → Manage Publishing
- Select Publish with password
- Enter a password (or update it later)
- Click Save Changes
You can remove the password by switching to a public publish type, or update the password at any time.
See Password protection.
Let clients explore data (optional)
If clients should filter or slice data themselves:
- Click Actions → Manage Publishing
- Turn on Data Explorable
- Select columns to include
- Click Save Changes
You must publish first; explorable controls are disabled when Unpublished.
See Make data explorable and Client self-serve data slicing.
Let clients ask AI questions (optional)
When explorable data is enabled, clients can click Explore, then use Ask Maple and the Analysis Agent on charts.
See Ask AI questions in a published Insight Hub.
Unpublish
Switch back to Unpublished and Save Changes. The public link stops working immediately.
See Publish a dashboard.
Dashboard hosting notes
- Published hubs are hosted on AddMaple when you choose Publish on AddMaple.com or Publish with password
- Older projects may also use the Report publish path; see Publishing a report if your project uses Reports instead of Dashboards
Typical end-to-end workflow
- Create and arrange your dashboard (see Dashboards overview)
- Manage Publishing to publish and copy the link
- Set a password if the client requires it
- Turn on Data Explorable and select columns if clients should self-serve
- Share the link (and password) with unlimited viewers on the client side
