Share AddMaple charts on Slack and get an instant live preview of the chart. Our integration with Slack makes it delightfully easy to collaborate and share insights with your team.

AddMaple seamlessly integrates with Slack without the need for any installation or connection.

To share AddMaple charts with live previews in Slack simply follow these steps.

1. When you've found a chart you want to share, click on the 3 dot "kebab menu" and select "Share Chart".

2. Give your chart a title and click "Next"

3. AddMaple will generate the chart and display a unique link for you to copy. Copy the link by clicking the green button to the right of the link

4. Paste the link into a channel or DM on Slack, and the live preview of the chart will be displayed

Connect your team account directly to AWS S3, for secure analysis of your company data

AddMaple supports integration to AWS S3 for users of our team plan.

Create a new IAM user that has read-only permissions to access only the data you want to analyze in S3.

Create a new S3 connection on your team admin page and enter the AWS Access Key Id and Secret Access Key. These will be encrypted and safely stored. They will only be used when you are accessing your data in AddMaple.

Enter your other S3 details - bucket, region, etc.

Once the connection has been added, you can click the "Test" button and AddMaple will fetch a listing of the first 100 files in the bucket

Click on a file to start adding a project connected to that file. You will need to confirm the file type and whether it is compressed

Click "Test Project" and AddMaple will fetch the first 10 rows of data from your file for you to confirm.

You can optionally add a set of filters to the data, for example if you want to create multiple projects with different filtered sets of data.

Once you are happy with the settings, click "Create Project". 

Once a project is created, you can explore and interact with the data in AddMaple.

AWS S3

Connect your team account directly to your AWS Athena database. Create projects based on queries and allow your team to analyze at speed.

AddMaple supports integration to AWS Athena for users of our team plan.

Create a new IAM user that has read-only permissions to access Athena, and the bucket where the results will be stored.

Create a new Athena connection on your team admin page and enter the AWS Access Key Id and Secret Access Key. These will be encrypted and safely stored. They will only be used when you are accessing your data in AddMaple.

Enter your other Athena details - results bucket, region, database, etc.

Once the connection has been added, you can click the "Test" button and AddMaple will fetch a listing of the tables and views available.

Click on a table to start editing the SQL query

Click "Test Project" and AddMaple will fetch the first 10 rows of data from this query for you to confirm.

Once you are happy with the settings, click "Create Project".

Currently data will be cached on a daily basis, to speed up project loading. Please contact support if you want a different cache setting.

AWS Athena

Our integration with Google Drive allows you to open files on your drive directly in AddMaple. Keep your data in Drive but explore in AddMaple.

You will be taken to Google Drive and asked if you consent to "install" AddMaple to your Google Drive

Once you consent, you will be taken back to AddMaple to complete the process.

AddMaple is now installed in your Google Drive - you can open any CSV, XLSX, SAV file or Google Sheet in AddMaple directly from your Google Drive like this:

We know that you have a lot of important information on your Google Drive. For this reason our integration does not require you to grant full access to your Google Drive. You remain in full control and only files that you explicitly choose to "Open with AddMaple" can be accessed via AddMaple. Furthermore that data is never stored on AddMaple's servers and is dynamically pulled in when you open the relevant project in AddMaple.
